Academic Work
This is an example of a small academic assignment that I did as a part of a course about visualization at the Taras Shevchenko’s National University of Kyiv (September, 2022). We had to make three advertising posters with the same object but in different styles. I’ve chosen an imaginary clock auction in London and made ads in Victorian style, Cubism and Minimalism. Also, I had to list the main features of the styles that I used in my works. All images are made in Procreate.
Victorian style: symmetrical composition, ornamentation, decorated font, not much empty space, "faded" colors (accent on brown), the texture of the old paper.
Cubism: geometric shapes (rectangles, triangles, circles), distortion of space, absence of dimensions, elements are put together in a puzzle, text written by hand, but with stress on geometry, bright highlights, space maximally filled with elements, no texture.
Minimalism: minimum number of colors and objects, one emphasis, clear organization of the composition, a lot of space.
